ಹೇಳಲು ನಾವು ಹತ್ತಿರ
ಆದರೂ ಎಷ್ಟಿಹುದು ದೂರ
ಅಸಹಾಯಕತೆಯೇ, ನೀ ಏಕಿಷ್ಟು ಕ್ರೂರ?

ನನ್ನಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಕರುಣೆಯೂ ತೋರಲಾಗದು
ಅಷ್ಟೂ ನನಗಾಗದು, ನಿನ್ನೀ ಕಣ್ಣೀರೊರೆಸಲು
